1. Rome:

Located at the shores of Tiber River, the cosmopolitan city, Rome was founded about 3000 years ago and now is the capital city of Italy. The city is famous for the ancient ruins they display the ancient cultures, arts and architectures of the then societies. Besides, the museums of the city contain the masterpieces of some world famous artists. The city is fourth regarding populations in the EU. The city also houses a country – The Vatican City inside its boundary. The city has been inhabited for much longer days and it is considered as one of the oldest cities of the world. The early populations of the city originated from different races including the Latins, Sabines and Etruscans. The city has also served important roles during different empires and renaissance period. Sometimes, the city is considered as the birthplace of the western civilization and also known as the Capital of the World for its participation in different movements. Now, this is one of the most visited cities in the world and a popular destination for the tourists in Italy.
