The history of this massive capital dates back to 3000 years ago and there are some appealing historical relics are still available to entertain the curious travelers. The location is also famous for cultural expansion and National Museum of China. Beijing is considered as the third most populous city in the world and located in the northern part of China. The city is different from the other cities of the country as it plays an important role in the nation’s economy. Moreover, communications system in Beijing is also developed and the city is interconnected with numerous highs speed rail networks. The city has also been serving as the political headquarters for the country for past centuries while many of the renowned people have been buried in the city and their tombs have become visiting place for the local and international visitors. The seven UNESCO World Heritage sites have heightened the value of the city to the foreign visitors. Beijing climate is monsoon influenced and thus it is enjoyable to some extent. Located in the northwest part of China, Xi’an is the oldest one in consideration of Chinese capital. The 255 feet high waterfall, Huangguoshu, is located in China and one of the largest one in Asian subcontinent. The waterfall has got an exceptional look and water flows round the year in this place. The waterfall is physically located on the Baishui River in China under Guizhou province. The main waterfall is 67 meters high and 93.3 meters in width. The waterfall is one of the most impressive places in China and a great tourist attraction. The waterfall and the surrounding area have been termed as the Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park. A good number of people from home and abroad come here to enjoy the natural beauty. The waterfall with its charming look brings the tourists into the locality and thus the local economy is becoming stronger gradually. There are different viewing spots of the waterfall and the views change following the location. The best views are available from the Waterfall Viewing Pavilion. The entire waterfall could be seen perfectly from this location and even the viewers can also touch the water from waterfall. Besides, there are some places where the visitors could get a bird’s eye view as well.


8. Zhangjiajie:

A diversified number of plants are found in the place which is not found in other parts of the world. The history of the city dates back to 221 BC and was named as Dayong. Evidences have been found for human living in the locality and that dates back to 100,000 years ago. Some of the other evidences also prove that the locality has experienced some of the days of the Stone Age. Besides, the cultures of the region have greatly been dominated by the inhabitants. 10. Lijian:

Famous for the Old Town of Lijiang as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lijiang is a city in the Yunnan province of China. Being a prefecture level city, the city has gained reputation around the world. Once the city was under the Mu family and also experienced rule of several dynasties including Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty. The city holds the Baisha Old Town that had played a great role for Naxi people and different ethnic groups living and dominating in the locality. Silk embroidery was one of the most important economic activities here and the Ancient Southern Silk Road has crossed the city starting from Burma (currently Myanmar). The climate of the locality is subtropical for different reasons and the low latitude and high elevations is a key reason for this. The winters are dry and mild and sunny (infrequent). Transportation has been developed here and the international people enjoy the services from airports. Besides, buses and trains are also available for public transportation across the city. Accordingly, some of the Islamic architectures are best known in the country for their exceptional beauty and design. The Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque is one of the most notable Islamic mosques in the country and is used for prayers of the Muslims in the country. People often term it as the most beautiful mosque ever made in the Asia Pacific region. The mosque is located in the capital of Sultanate of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan which is also known as BSB. The mosque is also a famous tourist spot in Brunei. The mosque has been built after the name of the 28 th Sultan of the country, Omar Ali Saifuddein the Third. The Sultan initiated the construction of the mosque and the structure is the combination of different architectures together including Mughal and Malay styles with the design of an Italian architect. The entire mosque was completed in 1958 and a gigantic structure on the skyline of Bandar Seri Begawan. Though there are no exact figure is found about the expenses of building the mosque, it is estimated that around over 9 million dollars have been spent to build it. The artificial lagoon, the golden domes, the marble minarets and a courtyard has increased the beauty of the mosque.

The establishments of the village are located on the stilts on the Brunei River. The history of village dates back to the 15th century and a large number of descriptions has been found over the issue. Earlier, during the tides, the women of the villages used to sell different stuffs to maintain their livelihood. The houses in the village were beautiful in the past days and now they also look gorgeous as well. The houses of the village are mostly made with wood in support from light timbers. The Istana Nurul Iman is of those and the literal meaning of it stands as the Light of Faith Palace. This is the royal palace for the Sultan of Brunei. Besides, the palace also works as the seat for the government of Brunei. The palace is located on the riverside of the river Brunei. The capital city – Bandar Seri Begawan is located a few kilometers away from the palace. The palace is used for several purposes in line with serving as the governmental seat and mostly this is used for royal hospitality for the foreign guests and delegates. The palace has been designed by combining the Islamic and Malay cultures and religious beliefs. The name of the palace has been picked from Arabic and Malay language. The Billionth Barrel Monument is one of them and was set to commemorate the billionth oil production in the country from this single location and as the first oil producing place. Brunei is one of the leading oil producing countries in the world and most of its economy is based on the oil production from different parts of the country. The Billionth Barrel Monument is located in Seria in Brunei. But the place was not like this before and the monument establishment has been established to remember the contributions of the locality in the economy of Brunei in 1991. The production of billionth barrel of oil from the area has contributed on naming the monument. In fact, this was an onshore field of Seria to produce crude oil whereas most of the oil fields are located on the deep sea. The location for digging oil was discovered in 1929 by Brunei Shell Petroleum and currently there is no oil productions are done anymore from the oil well. Though the town of Seria is now termed as the oil house of Brunei, it was not the source of oil until the well was discovered. After the invention of the well, a massive change took place in this part of the country.


6. Brunei Museum:

If the tourists in Brunei want to learn something about the country, the Brunei Museum is the perfect place for them to provide with a wide range of information and artifacts of the country. The museum is situated on the top of a hill at Kota Batu which is adjacent to the capital of Brunei – Bandar Seri Begawan (around 4.5 kilometers away from the capital city). A good number of artifacts of different eras have been preserved here and this is the largest museum in the country. The Brunei Museum exhibits the relics of 16th century and the histories are preserved well in the ethnography and archaeology. The surrounding view from the museum is highly attractive and especially the evening scenes of Brunei River from the museum compound are eye-catching indeed. Construction for the museum began in 1968 and though it was opened for the public in 1972, the construction works were done by 1970. The museum was inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The picturesque location beside the Brunei River was selected for the museum so that it becomes the center of attraction for everything and it has been so immediate after its inception. The issues of natural history, archaeology, ethnography etc. are the key theme of the museum. It should be noted that almost all the artifacts are masterpieces collected from different other museums.

Renowned for the dark-colored water, Tasek Merimbun is the biggest lake in Brunei. This is the only lake where a good number of fauna, reptiles and other marine species are living in. The lake is about 70 kilometers away from the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. The shape of the lake is like English alphabet ‘S’. The lake is also surrounded by a Heritage Park named Tasek Merimbun. The attractive Heritage Park covers around 7800 hectares of lands. The water color is dark because of the falling of leaves on the water. The lake is a great place for tourists in Brunei and hiring boats to visit the lake is a very usual thing exercised by the visitors. There are two islands found on the lake and one of them is a great place for family picnic. The smaller island is located on the center of the water body and accessible through wooden walkways. The researchers could use the chalet facility for their research works. The potential importance of the lake and locality was detected in the 1960s and in 1967 the decisions were taken to make it a sanctuary for wildlife. With the patronizing of the government and some of the locals, the location has become one of the most attractive places in Brunei.

In fact, this is a suburban area with a population over 20,000 in the South West of Brunei- Muara district. The area is around 24 kilometers away from the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. The locality is also famous for some other reasons and the Jerudong Park Country Club is one of them. Usually amusement parks are built for profit making and business. But the visitors will have something different here. The amusement park is free for the visitors. This is the largest artificial recreational center in Brunei Darussalam and the establishment began the 1970s and covers around 100 acres of lands. There are three playing fields and the members from royal family also took part in different games and sports on the fields. The park is considered as a family recreational center. The park is also used for serving different other purposes like wedding, concerts or for serving any other issues. Besides, the visitors need not to follow any queue for boarding on the rides and it is almost trouble free. The water park is also another important place to visit here and remains crowded always.


9. Kuala Belait:

Located on the western border of Brunei and close to Sarawak, Kuala Belait is the second largest city of the country. The naming of the city has some histories and some say that the name has been adopted after the Belait River. This is the administrative city for Belait district in Brunei. The literal meaning of the city is – the mouth of the Belait River and in fact the city is located on the opening of the River. The city is locally known as Belait as well and sometimes as KB Town in English. The city has a very good transportation system and there are vehicles for both water and land routes. In the beginning on the 20th century, the city was a small fishing village and the natives were fishermen. Some of the locals shifted to the west of the Belait River from the place to form a new town in this locality. With the discovering of the oil in the locality, some modern facilities had been installed here so that the oil fields could be of easy access from the city. With the establishment of the Sanitary Board in the 1930s, the small village turned into a small city and gradual development began there. But the locality experienced some terrible impacts during the Second World War when the regions were occupied by the Japanese soldiers. There are different villages in the town of Kuala Belait and the tourist attractions are beautiful indeed.

Where to visit while you are in Bulgaria

1. Sofia:

Sofia is mostly renowned for the churches and monuments covering a history of around 2000 years. Located in the west of Bulgaria, Sofia is the capital for the country. The city is one of the most historic cities in the world and underwent different ruling periods including the Roman, Ottoman, Greek and Soviet rulings. The churches also look beautiful with the frescos of the 13th century. Majority of the city population live in the functional urban area. The geographical location has placed the city in the midway between the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea. The history of settlement dates back to 7000 BCE. This is now the hub of every commercial and leisure activities in the country. A wide number of business companies and cultural institutions have been established here. The moderate climate of Sofia is another key reason to invite people in the country. The winters are cold while the summers are sunny and warm but heat waves and snowing – both are found in the country. The infrequent snowfall has made it more enjoyable in winter and there are no troubles to move in places inside the city. The city also has some protected areas for wildlife and animals. The sign of human settlement dates back to 3000 years ago and since then the city has experienced domination from mighty rulers. This is a piece of history and in fact an early medieval rock carving in Bulgaria. The carving is often referred to Madara Rider as well and is located near the village of Madara in northeastern part of Bulgaria. There is no date found against this monument but based on some archaeological evidences it is assumed that the carving was done in the last part of the 7 th or on the early part of the 8 th century. Now the location has become one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Bulgaria. A special image is curved on the monument – a horseman is pointing a spear to a lion near the horse’s feet and a dog is running after the horseman. The name of the designer of this is monument is unknown but undoubtedly this is an adorable task. But due to bad weather and climatic complexities, some of the parts of the monuments have been decayed. The monument is located about 75 meters above of the ground level and the sizes of everything are natural. Perhaps the monument is the representation of the semi-nomadic warrior culture of the then period while some of the schools are on the view that this is a very usual scenario of the past days. Whatever the analysis about the horseman are, this is really a beautiful monument indeed for the visitors in Bulgaria.

Located at the Rila Mountains, Rila Monastery is the largest monastery in Bulgaria. The Monastery is also famous as Eastern Orthodox monastery in the country and also known as the Monastery of Saint Ivan of Rila. The monastery is 117 kilometers away from the capital. The monastery is inside the Rila Monastery Nature Park and has been named following the founder of the Monastery – Ivan of RIla. There are 60 monks living in the monastery now. History says that the monastery was founded in the 10 th century and now it has become a cultural icon for Bulgaria. This is also a place of great importance to the local and international tourists. Though Bulgaria was dominated by different rulers and empires, the monastery was never disrespected by the rulers and even it reached to its peak during the 12 th century after Bulgaria was conquered by the Ottomans. Some of the monastery buildings have undergone changes and reconstructions for turning old with the passage of time. When it was destroyed by fire in 1862, it was reconstructed again by some of the wealthy people of the country. Now the Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts a large number of tourists annually. The main church of the monastery was built in the middle part of the 19 th century with two side chapels and five domes and three altars. The library at the residential part houses some of the oldest manuscripts which are also key attractions to the visitors.

Perperikon is considered as a sacred place and is situated on a high rocky hill. This is an ancient city in Bulgaria. The entire locality is also known for the gold-bearing river named Perpershka. There is a village located on the foot of the hill. The city is located in the eastern part of Rhodopes and 15 kilometers away from Kardzhail town of Bulgaria. Locally, it is believed that the location had held the famous Temple of Dionysius. Thereby, the locality got fame and following the reputation of the locality a visitor center is under construction with the assistance of European Union. The estimated cost of the visiting center construction is worth 2.4 million. Excavation in Perperikon began in 2000 and an ancient architectural complex was discovered in the place. Following history, human settlement began in the locality to 5000 BC. The trace of human activity began here from the Bronze Age. Besides, some of the relics of Iron Age were also discovered. The giant multi-storied palace is another attractive discovery in this locality. The impressive and strong fortress around the hill is another wonder for the locality and dates back to Roman Empire. The fortress contained residential parts and a temple.

A good number of tourists in Argentina visit the falls and they are accessible both from Argentina and Brazil. The tourists could reach the falls using taxi and bus service once they land on the countries. The average height of the glaciers is around 240 feet above the surface while the total depth of the glacier is 170 meters. Due to the pressure of weight from the ice helps to push the glacier into the southern part of Argentino Lake. Now this has become one of the most attractive places for trekking. Some tourist companies are conducting trekking in the glacier and there are several trekking methods available like mini trekking and big ice trekking etc.


3. Quebrada de Humahuaca:

Quebrada de Humahuaca is one of the important places in Argentina and historically this was a place of great importance. Human settlement in this locality began since the prehistoric time and evidences have been found that about 10000 years ago, the place was used for different purposes. In fact, this narrow mountain valley was a caravan route during the Inca Empire in the 15th century and connected different localities together. The place is now under the Jujuy province and located in the northwest part of Argentina. The distance of the Quebrada de Humahuaca is over 1600 kilometers from Buenos Aires. The mountain valley is bordered by Altiplano in the west side while the Sub- Andean hills are located in the east and the south is covered by Calles Templados. The name analysis of the mountain valley suggests about a deep valley. A part of the name is derived from the small city – Humahuaca. The city is so small that it contained only 11000 inhabitants. The Rio Grande flows through the locality during the summer season and remains dry in the winter. History denotes that the first human settlers in the locality were hunters and some of their remains are still found today. Formerly a hub for cultural, social and communication, Quebrada de Humahuaca is now a heaven for the tourists in the country. The location has played important roles in history and stage for different battles like the Spanish War of Independence. Now the Quebrada de Humahuaca is also a World Heritage Site.


4. El Chalté:

El Chaltén is one of those places located in Santa Cruz Province and in fact this is a very small mountain village of Argentina. The village is on the riverside Rio de las Vueltas. The river is under the Los Glaciares National Park which is based on the Cerro Torre and Cerro Fitz Roy mountains. Both the mountains are popular for climbing and a good number of climbers try to climb the mountains. Since the village is near the mountains, the economic activities of the villages has been based on the climbing and the village had also been termed as the Trekking Capital of Argentina. The park was formulated as part of resolution of the border dispute between Chile and Argentina but now the scenarios have been changed to great extent. The entire locality has become a tourist spot and a source of income for the locals. The names of the mountain suggest that the mountains have been emerged from volcanoes and the world – Chaltén refers to smoke. Hence the name of El Chaltén appeared. There are some other visiting sites found as well for the wide number of visitors. Commercial camping is also available here but the seats are limited but the backpackers are able to pass the nights easily.


5. Los Glaciares National Park:

The Los Glaciares National Park is one of such World Heritage Sites and located in the south west of Santa Cruz and the locality is also known as the Austral Andes. The park was developed based on some purposes and to attract the tourists in the region. This is a place for preservation and conservation of different natural artifacts. The park aims to show the natural Andean ecosystem and protect the hydrological sources of the locality. With an area of 7269.27 square kilometers, the Los Glaciares National Park is the largest park of Argentina and was established in 1937. The park name has been derived from the giant ice cap in the Andes. It is estimated that about 30 percent of the Los Glaciers are covered by ice and separated into two parts. The climate of the park belongs to moist temperature and the temperature goes down by 0.6 degree Celsius. The rainfall inside the park is also moderate and the summers are comparatively cold than the other parts of the country. Now this is one of the major attractions for the tourists and a good number of them are found round the year.

Bariloch is one of them in Argentina and mostly famous for several things like chocolates, skiing, exploration at the surrounding localities, hiking, Swiss alpine architectures and more. The town is also known as San Carlos de Bariloche and it is near the border of Lago Nauel Huapi which is a huge lake encircled by the Andes. The city is in the Rio Negro province in Argentina and geographically located on the base of the Andes. The city emerged as a place of tourist interest since 1940 and was built in the 1930s. The city provides different facilities to the visitors and mountaineering. The restaurants in the city serves delicious local and traditional dishes which is in fact another attraction for the tourists outside of the country. The naming of the town narrates the history of the locality when people used to cross the mountains to perform their activities. The city had a strong connection with Chile but after some explorations in the 19 th century, the locality turned into the property of Argentine government. The locality was settled by the Germans in the beginning and now the settles are of different countries including Austria, Slovenia, Chile and Italy. The re-modification of the city was done in the 1930 when the infrastructures were changed to a great extent.

 

7. Puente del Inca:

Puente del Inca is one of the most striking place in the country and the most visited places in Argentina where a large number of crowd across the world gather to observe the stone bridge. This is in fact a natural arch and takes the shape of a bridge. The bridge is on the Vacas River and it is located in Mendoza Province in Argentina. The name is also taken by an adjacent hot spring. It is speculated from different quarters that the spring emerged from the interaction of ice and the hot weathers. In ancient times, the locality suffered some snow avalanches associated with rocks and dusts and by this way the structure was formulated, believes scientists. The bridge has been visited by a good number of renowned people and Charles Darwin is one of them and he also did some sketches of the locality in 1835. The locality was also popular (still it is) as thermal resort and there was a spa where people came to cure their illness of specific types. Actually the hot springs had the power to heal some the diseases. There is still a spa will be found in the place. The tourists used to come on train on the resort and the train station is located nearby in an abandoned state. The railway station is now being used a mountaineering museum and exhibits the local culture and history. This is a great place for the climbers and trekkers.

8. Puerto Madero:

Puerto Madero is the wonder of latest discoveries in everywhere of the locality. In fact, this is the representation of the latest architectural designs and trend in the city of Buenos Aires. This is an urban planning community and often termed as the Puerto Madero Waterfront for its close association with the docking facilities. This is a barrio in Buenos Aires and most of the modern structures and establishments have been set here. The district has relieved from the troubles of docking ships, large cargo vessels and other water vessels entering into the country. Since the district is located in the river bank, it became easier to create the docking facility and before this facility, the water vessels were moored into a distance from the shore but now there are no such issues. Gradually the locality flourished and people from different parts of the country arrived here for the port functions. But to handle the extreme pressures from the increased inhabitants and cargo loads, the facilities decayed and degraded the area. Later, in the 1989, some other steps were taken to revive the port and the city with foreign investment. The plans succeeded and the city grew up by the side of the river. A good number of luxurious hotels, cinemas, theaters, offices, new buildings, private universities, elegant houses etc. were made. Now this is one of the most impressive urban renewal project and been attracting a good crowd as well.

9. Buenos Aires:

This is the cosmopolitan city that attracts all types of visitors and mostly known for the night life, foods, European atmosphere and Tango. The buildings of the city are made with the finest materials and thus they look stunning. The shopping streets, crowded parks, the former bullfighting site etc. have made this Latin American city enjoyable to the outsiders. Though the city is in Argentina, it appears that this any city of Europe for its lively metropolis and busy avenues. This is a very special places where the travelers fall in love with everything. 10. Cerro de los Siete Colores:

Cerro de los Siete Colores is one of the hills which is related with geological history. This is also known as the Hill of Seven Colors. The color of the hill is different from the other hills due to the geological sediments and movement of the tectonic plates. The hill is located on the border of Quebrada de Purmamarca. The hill is also known as the Hill of Seven Skirts and the second name has appeared as the hill color is similar to the traditional skirt of the Andean women. This is a unique site in Argentina and there are seven different colors of the rocks of the hill. It is said that the colors of the rocks have been formed in different periods and elements. Legends go that in the beginning of the human settlement in this locality, everything was without any color and the young children have painted the hills by night times to surprise the locals. But the geological information tells something different than this. The hill takes the best shape in the early morning and now is a great place for the outside visitors. Usually people come here to hike or walk and there are arrangements for riding on horses and bike tours.
